Erick Lindgren claims his first WSOP bracelet

Despite a hugely successful poker career with millions and millions of dollars in the bank,
more than one WPT title and a host of other successes, Erick Lindgren managed to take
down his first World Series event just the other day. The event was the $5000 mixed
holdʼem event and although he has been close to winning in the past, he had not before
managed to seal the deal.
The field was tough with poker giants like Howard Lederer and David Williams sitting
alongside Lindgren on the final table, but he managed to out play them all including his
heads up opponent, Justin "Zeejustin" Bonomo whose 2 pair could not stand up against
Lindgrenʼs straight on the final hand.
Lindgren is 31 years old and has been playing poker professionally for 10 years.
Previously working as a black jack dealer he developed an exceptional talent for poker
whilst playing in his spare time and thus decided to concentrate solely on this.
He has had a total of 16 cashes at the World Series so far but never a bracelet so he was
especially thrilled with this win. He prize winnings of $374,505 for this tournament have
pushed him up to number 20 on the all-time money poker list.
