History made at the WSOP

It doesnʼt get much better than this happy ending! History has been made this year at the
WSOP with 2 brothers Blair and Grant Hinkle each winning a bracelet.
The first bracelet was won by Grant who took down event number 2, the $1,500 buy-in No
Limit Hold ʼem event which was followed 11 days later by his brother Blair Hinkle winning
event number 23, the $2,000 buy-in No Limit Hold ʻem. Blair defeated a field of 1, 344
players to take away $507,563 and the bracelet which is an excellent achievement.
Blair was over the moon to have won this event and commented, “The one player I was
worried about the most coming into today was Dustin Dirksen and taking him out was a
huge jump for me, I was able to really pick up my game after that.” He then went on to say
“[Winning the same year as Grant] means probably more than just winning it, Weʼre setting
a record together and heʼs the one that really got me going in poker. Iʼm just really happy
that we could both win in the same year and do something historic. Itʼs been a blast.”
Their mother Lynn was on hand to witness the extraordinary achievement and couldnʼt be
happier for the pair. She doesnʼt believe her other 2 sons are likely to follow the same
poker course however.
