Day 2A of the WSOP Main Event
July 10, 2008
Groups A and B combined to engage in Day 2A of the WSOP main event and a very
speedy day of play got underway. The general them of the day was that those who had
already done well, did better, and those who began the day relatively short stacked, went
out.
Brian Schaedlich, a special education teacher from Cleveland began the day with a
healthy 160,000 of chips and managed to build it up to a whopping 800,000 by the end of
day 2. He went to bed a happy and chip leading man! Brandon Adams who last year
finished in 69th place also did well in building his already sizable chip stack and finished
day 2 with 350,000.
The short stacks seemed to have a double through or dies approached. Philip Hilm
managed to double up early on the day with 4 Jacks, while others such as William Exelby
were not so lucky and had his pair of Kʼs beaten early on in the day.
There were around 100 eliminations per hour on day 2. Others included Erick Lindgren and
Kathy Liebert. By the end of the day there were 466 remaining players with Schaedlich
way out in the lead. It will be touch to catch up with him.
