J.C. Tran Wins First Bracelet

J.C Tran has now won his first WSOP gold bracelet having notched up yet another
impressive win. He took down the $1500 no-limit hold 'em event number 49 at the WSOP
in Las Vegas scooping $631,170 for his trouble.
Tran has already had great success on the poker circuit, with already a World Poker Tour
title, 5 WPT final table finishes and a PokerStars WCOOP Main event title. Despite
managing a second place finish at this same event at the WSOP in the past, he hadnʼt yet
secured a first place win. Well, now he can rest easy because he has done it!
His heads up opponent was Rasmus Nielsen who he was very much behind in terms of
chips stacks. Nielsen held over twice as many in fact as the eventual winner. He managed
to climb his way back though and winning two big hands helped to push him into the lead
from which Nielson was unable to recover from. Nielson took away $389,557 for his
second place win which is not a bad consolation prize!
