Marcus Gustafson into the WSOP Europe

Marcus Gustafson took part in the World Series of Poker that has just been drawn to a
close in Las Vegas. Although he was not successful this time and was unable to bring
back any tournament winnings, he did have a rather lucky break whilst there and will now
be taking part in the European world series which is being held later on in the year.
Betfair filled a mini cooper with poker chips and staged a ʻguess the number of chipsʼ
contest. Whilst some people just came up with a random number, others tried to bribe the
betfair staff, whilst some used more scientific and mathematical methods.
In the end, it was, yes youʼve guessed it, Marcus Gustafson that walked away with the mini
itself and a seat into the WSOPE. Not bad for one lucky guess! Gustafson guessed
127,644 chips were in the car and was off by only 3!
The European tournament is starting on September 19 and there are to be 4 events held
including a no limit holdʼem, pot-limit holdʼem and a h.o.r.s.e event. The main event will
begin on September 27th.
