The European World Series of Poker was kicked off with the £1,500 No Limit Holdʼem
event last Friday. 410 players took to the felt to begin the battle for the first prize of
£144,218 which officially made it the largest poker tournament ever held in London.
With only 45 paid places in the event the competition was extremely fierce.
Despite some of the biggest names in poker flying in for the event such as Phil Ivey, Chris
Ferguson and Daniel Negreanu, none of them are appearing on the final table.
