World Series Of Poker Europe Day 2

September 23rd, 2008

The European World Series of Poker was kicked off with the £1,500 No Limit Holdʼem event last Friday. 410 players took to the felt to begin the battle for the first prize of £144,218 which officially made it the largest poker tournament ever held in London. With only 45 paid places in the event the competition was extremely fierce.

Despite some of the biggest names in poker flying in for the event such as Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson and Daniel Negreanu, none of them are appearing on the final table.

The final table looks like this:

Seat 1: Fuad Serhan 61,000
Seat 2: Daniel Nutt 207,000
Seat 3: Yevgeniy Timoshenko 345,000
Seat 4: John Dwyer 511,000
Seat 5: Ian Woodley 153,000
Seat 6: Jesper Hougaard 89,000
Seat 7: Linda Lee 121,000
Seat 8: Neil Channing 199,000
Seat 9: Adam Junglen 795,000

Adam Junglen is a successful online player and now leads the final 9 in terms of chip stacks. If he wins this event he will be the second youngest player to ever win a WSOP bracelet at the age of 20 (second to Annette Obrestad). We wish all the players the best of luck!
