The WSOPE as it is known will be taking place in London later on in the year. There are to
be four events that make up the event which will then officially kick off the London leg of
the European Poker Tour at the start of October. Additionally the Virginʼs Poker Festival will
also be happening in the English capital in the next few months.
The biggest event though without a doubt is the WSOPE which is in its second year. Last
year the event was won by 19 year old Norweigian player Annette Obrestrad which rather
like when Chris Moneymaker at the WSOP in Las Vegas in 2003 has encouraged more
people to take up the game.
The four events in the event are to be a £1,500 No Limit Hold'Em, £2,500 H.O.R.S.E,
£5,000 Pot Limit Omaha and a £10,000 No Limit Hold'Em World Championship. There are
expected to be up to 500 players taking part.
