WPT Borgata Poker Open Continues
September 18th, 2008
Day 2 saw a number of bad beats and left just 69 players in the field. They all returned to
take part on day 3 of this WPT event. With only 54 players due to be payed, play slowed
down right until the bubble broke and players were all guaranteed to take away at least
something.
Tiffany Michelle who did extremely well at the WSOP this year by placing in the top 20
went out in 46th place. There was a little controversy surrounding Tiffany Michelle at the
WSOP after a sponsorship deal with Ultimate Bet allegedly stepped on the toes of her
other sponsors, PokerNews.com. Michelle scooped $15,000 for her efforts here. Brandon
Cantu hit the rail on day 3 in 32nd place taking $21,000 with him.
Play was stopped after 5 levels had been completed. At this stage there are only 27
players remaining. No doubt the players that remain will be excited about heading into Day
4. Dan Heimiller is chip leader with 2.87 million chips. The average chip stack is 765,000.
The winner will take home $1.4 million.
