4 more heats have been played in the PPPL and it has been a topsy turvy ride for most of the players.
In heas 7 and 8 Tom "durrr" Dwan and Peter Eastgate proved succesfull, but the most remarkable performances where those behind as JC Tran finished 2nd yet again after a very short battle with Tom Dwan. This cemented his position at the top of the leaderboard. Hellmuth finished on zero point in his heat and that stopped the brat from moving back up the leaderboard. In heat 8 Devilfish Ulliott fought for his life and 3 points might not be enough (see below) to safe an early exit.
In heat 9 the creme the la creme of the leaderboard and the red lantarn holders faced off together and JC Tran won again!!! He fought an epic 80min battle with Phil Hellmuth and finally saw him off when his A8 rivered a straight against Phils slow played AK. Nenad Medic and Devilfish finished bottom two again and their role is now over. Well it is for Ulliott, but Medic can still sneak into a heads up place for a final table play off.
Because of the results in heat 10 that proved a bit of a shock there is now a wide midfield that could prove costly for some, as now there will be a fierce battle for the final table postions.
Annette Obrestad and Andy Black fought out the heads up here and Annette proved victorious.
Tom Dwan finished last here.
The top 4 will qualify automaticall for the final table and the next 4 will play heads up matches to finalise the final 2 players at the final table.
