Weekly tournaments surpass guarantees for second week in row

The biggest online weekly tournaments exceeded the guarantee once again. This is both good and bad for the online player. Bad of course in the fact that there is no added value to these tournaments anymore, but very god in the sense that it proves there is more money/players out there and this could very well mean that we will see the Weekly Sunday Million (they kept the name at PokerStars as it had more ring to it then the Weekly Sunday Million and a Half) being played for 2 million guaranteed. This is some way off still, but it could very well happen in 2009.
The Sunday $750.000 guaranteed proved 10hrs of poker playing at various levels, but after it was all said and done a player called "Slyfox" from the coastal town of Noordwijk in the Netherlands took down the honours of finishing in first place.
It proved a good day for the Europeans over all as Kesher from Aarhus in Denmark took down the Sunday Million which attracted enough players to make the $1,5 million go up to almost exactly $1.60 million. Just over 10 hrs was needed to dwindle the field down to the one and only victorious player. When it was all said and done he took home almost $200.000 which is a good return for a days work.
The other tournaments on the busiest day in online poker also provided some excellent play and it looks like we might soon be looking at queues to get into the big online tournaments. Sign up when you can in advance to make sure you will be in. The Sunday $200.000 is already closing in on he magic 25000 players at which it is capped. On Sunday there where already 24291 players for this tournament.
