What's in a name??

Most players are by now, thanks to the media and internet, well clued up about players like DURRRRRR and AJKHOOSIER1 and EXCLUSIVE or even MONEY008.

But what do new players choose as a name?? Well a short browse through the sites will make you laugh and sometimes even cry.
Some people are lucky that they have a unique surname and can use that as their poker alias, but what if you name is Jones or Murphy??
Well. There is hope. You can either call yourself after your favourite hand like QTSUITED or AKFORME. Some players refer to their place of origin or their favourite place to be like players INTHETROPICS or ATHOME. Others find their hobby a good inspiration. SEABISCUIT must be a horse lover and what WND_SURFR does at a poker table instead of choppy waters i don't know either.
Some prefer to keep it poker related and call themselves FLUSHONTHERIVER or GOTYOUBEAT. Others have no hope of winning and call themselves AMIBEAT (yes you are). If you are stuck you can always do something completely ridiculous. S.PANKYOURBUTT (played against him today) is a good example of this. The downright cute names are also out there. BILLYJsMUM (happy birthday boy) and SWEETSANDRA (who is she???) might definitely make you fold that monster on the river.

If you are still unable to find inspiration then you can always use numbers. MRJONES1234 or PETERJONES911 could still be out there.

Whatever name you choose, be careful. You might be stuck with it for the rest of your poker life. And that could be a curse.
