5 Diamond classic playing to final table

It was time to decide who would be part of the final 6 when play resumed in the Doyle Brunson 5 Diamond Classic in the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
With 18 players left Clonie Gowen decided to clear things up a bit,. Both Martin de Knijff and Jack Wu moved in with AJ and AQ respectively but Clonie her QQ was too strong for both.
Unfortunately see found her Waterloo shortly after.
Mike Matusow was known for years as “the mouth” but he was eerily quiet all day and his card where no better. Never able to get cards or to win a pot he left when his AQ ran into AK from Justin Young.
There was a massive pot played between chip leader Evan McNiff and Steven Sung who managed to get most his chips in AFTER flop flop on a Q-3-3- board. His bets on flop turn and river all got called, but when he showed 3-3 for the stone cold nuts Evan mucked quickly.
Joe Mcgowen was one of the short stacks throughout the day and at a certain stage was even 17th out of 18 left. He became the final table bubble boy and that meant that the final 6 where known. Amongst them still one of the best pro players of the last few years in Hoyt Corkins and one of the best internet players of his time in Chino Rheem who, as you might remember, was also one of the “november 9” in the World Series of Poker.
