EPT Copenhagen underway

The EPT event in Copenhagen is now well under way with the first days completed.
It was a mixed bag of amateurs and pro players that took to the felt and a few very well known names did not make it into the "normal" day 2.
Peter Eastgate was one of the well known players not to make it into day 2 just like Johnny Lodden, Julien Thew, William Thorson, Ivan Demidov, Dario Minieri und Stephen Chidwick. Those players all found their Waterloo on day 1b and on day 1a it were Erik Friberg, Carlos Mortensen, Christian Grundvig amonst many others that did not manage to hold on to their chips.
On day 1a there were 269 players who fought it out and on day 1b there were 275 players at the tables who fought on for the total prize pool of 2.976.463 €, with 878.057 €, for the eventual winner.
The event is held in the Radisson SAS hotel and casino in Copenhagen and the winner will definately be able to hold a small party in the presidents room when all is said and done.
183 players are left and these are the most important chip counts: AVG around 24000
