Losing some money

Guy Laliberte, who is mostly known as the (ex) sponsor of poker players like Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Gus Hanson and Patrik Antonius, now faces another loss of a few million.
His ex lover with whom he left together, but was never married to, wants a few extra dollars to accommodate her usual life style. She already gets $35.000 per month, but she prefers to get $55.000 per month plus a little one of payment of $50million. This amount she could very well get, as the law in Canada allows settlements for people that lived together for more then 3 years even though they were never married.
Now is Guy as the founder and major shareholder of Cirque du Soleil not cash stripped and his $1.7Billion fortune can certainly withstand it, but this might very well be the end of him in the poker world.
In the meantime it was Phil Ivey who also decided to make some headlines by announcing he would bet $1million on last Sundays SuperBowl. He admitted this in a phone conversation with Barry Greenstein in which he hoped the SportsBook at the Bellagio would take his bet.
Unfortunately we don’t know if he bet on the right team, but at least he will have had excitement till the last second. Phil is not known for his Sports knowledge as last year alone he lost $2million on the NBA when he bet on the L.A Lakers.
Lets hope Phil will not loose too much this year on his sports bets so that he can stay in the high stakes game we are so familiar in seeing him in.
