New online Poker Championchip series announced

From the 9th of March onwards celebpoker.com will be running an alternative to these championchip series called the ICOP (International Championchip of Online Poker). Ik looks like it will be a lot smaller as it is set to run from the 9th of March till the 15th of March and the total guaranteed prizepool is only $600.000. Most of the large online tournaments that are held every week are worth more then this (look at the PokerStars Sunday Million and the FullTilt $750.00) but there will be some variation as there will be Omaha hi-lo, seven card stud and five card stud apart from the normal dose of Texas HoldEm.

This does of course offer every player not in the possesion of a nice title another shot of earning a "bracelet" or any other event with a special name.

The complete schedule is not know as of yet, but it looks like Celebpoker will try to win the hearts of thousands of players by offering affordable entry fees for thier championchips events and still offer some decent prize money apart from giving players the chance to become International Champion of Online Poker. Furthermore there will be 3% of every prize pool withheld for the overall champion as 30 players in every tournament will gain points for an overall leaderboard.
