Huck Seed wins NBC Heads up Championship

Huckleberry Seed has become the winner of the NBC Heads-Up Championship 2008 after a battle with Vanessa Rousso who made it to the final as a bit of an outsider.
Huck Seed has been a pro for many years and after a stormy start to his career he seemed to have vanished a bit from the big stage, but he has now finished “in the money” in EVERY NBC Heads-Up Championship so far with this win as the pinnacle.
8 Players where left to battle it out on the final day and Huck Seed and Sammy Farha made light work of the opponents in the red group. David Williams was unlucky though when his Q6 hit a magical board with QQ6. A 4 on the turn still gave him the nuts, but when all the money went in on the 10 river Sammy Farha showed Q-10 for the bigger full house. David Oppenheim who came into the tournament as a replacement for the arrested Layne Flack lost with his AQ against Huck his 88 on a board containing no Ace or Queen and even made Huck his trips.
Phil Hellmuth lost on the fifth hand of his battle against Bertrand “elky” Grospellier when his QQ could not improve against Elky his AA.
Vanessa Rousso defeated Elky in the “semi” final and Huck did the same with Sammy Farha so that the best of 3 final went between Huck and Vanessa.
Quickly it became apparent that Vanessa was up against it and after a quick 1-0 for Huckleberry it was over when Vanessa raised on a k-10-5-8 board and her 10-j was far behind Huck his K-7
