Dwyte Pilgrim Wins Second Circuit Championship Ring

The first day of action went very smoothly with a lot of fast paced action on all tables. By the end of day one there we’re only sixteen players left in the event so the tournament directors were able to make the event two days only.

During the early stages of the tournament Dwyte was all-in against an opponent with only three outs and the river card left to come. Luckily Dwyte was able to hit one of the three outs on the river and doubled up. After doubling up Dwyte never looked back and in day two beat out the day one chip leader to take the championship.

Day two started off much like day one did and before anyone knew it the event was down to the final ten players. Since the event only had a prize pool set-up for nine players everyone at the table decided to change the prize pool a little bit so that the tenth place player would break even. $500 was taken from prizes 2-9 and $1100 from the first place prize.

Dwyte Pilgrim won his second championship ring by winning the WSOPE Ricon, but he also won a nice $125,777. Esther almost won her first circuit championship after leading most of the tournament, but ended up losing to Pilgrim heads-up. If she held on to win, it would of made her the first woman to win a circuit championship.
