Patrik Antonius fights back!

This time we can report that Patrik Antonius won $900.000 in ne day at the same tables. One of his victims was actually the aforementioned Gus Hansen, but also Finnish pro “larsLuzak” who was involved in one of the big pots with Gus Hansen last week donated some more as did Phil Ivey who also was generous to Gus Hansen.

In the first big pot for about $200.000 Antonius was up against Ivey and he got lucky. All the money went in on a Q-Q-10 board whit Ivey holding the nuts with Q-10 and no further improvement options, but Antonius had outs with Q-J-K for a possible higher full house. The turn was blank but the river brought a J for the Patrik win.

The next two big hands showed that Patrik is not afraid to play his small cards as all the money went in after the flop ($288.000) again on a A-!-4 board, with “larsLuzak” holding K-K-J-10 for multiple straight options, but Antonius was already happy with his 4-4-5-2 for the trips. An 8 was harmless on the turn and the Q gave Antonius a full house on the river.

In the big hand for over $224.000 against Gus Hansen Antonius re raised and a weak board reading J-3-3 all the money went in again. Gus Hansen held AA for the high two pair, but Antonius managed to hit the board hard with his 2-3-7-8 (double suited).
A Q and a J on turn and river meant that another big pot was for Antonius.
