Poker Stars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP)

This year is scheduled for twenty-two events to be played from April 2nd 2009 – April 12th 2009 with a total of $30 million in prizes guaranteed throughout the twenty-two events. Each of the twenty-two events offers three different tournaments for low stake players, medium stake players and high stake players. Obviously if you play tournaments at the high stakes the prize pool will be bigger, but even at the low stakes the prize pools are going to be great due to the volume of players competing.

The low stake tournaments start at just over $5 with fees so you can get into some of this years tournament for a really low fee. The poker games played with be switched throughout the event and some of the games being played with include Texas Holdem, Omaha, H.O.R.S.E. and Five Card Draw. You can start buying directly into the tournaments you want to play today on Poker Stars using the tournament tab and locating the SCOOP events. You can also earn seats into some of the events still through satellite events on Poker Stars using cash or FPP Points as your buy-in.

If you don’t have an account with Poker Stars yet then you’ll need to sign-up with them as soon as possible because the action is already underway today and you only have until the 12th to play in the SCOOP events. As a new player you’ll be eligible for a welcome bonus from Poker Stars which you can use to help fund your tournament entry fees throughout the next couple weeks.
