Tom Dwan Challenge Updated

As most of you already now the “Durrrr Challenge” has already been underway for a little while now. The action had been on stall for ten days until yesterday afternoon when Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius met up at the $200/$400 PL Omaha table. This would be the eleventh session that the two have played and currently they sit nowhere near the 50,000 hands which need to be completed.
The two players only got to play for a mere 24 minutes yesterday afternoon and it didn’t see very much action which was a shame because the two players had just taken a ten day break. They were able to play a total of 154 hands which brought the running total of hands played up to 7247 hands which isn’t even 20% of the way through the challenge.
Yesterday the two players only got into one big pot together which was when Dwan held K/J/J/8 and Antonius held a Q/10/8/7 hand. The flop brought out a J/9/6 and Dwan pushed his remaining chips into the pot which was quickly called by Patrick. The turn was a 2 and the river was a 3 which meant that trip Jacks held up. The size of the pot was $123,997 and was the only pot which reached the six figures yesterday during action.
Patrik decided that he was ready to call it a night and left the table soon after losing most of his chips in the only big hand of the night. Tom Dwan as of right now is winning the challenge as he is up $30,577, but the competition is still under 20% of the way done which means it’s still anyone’s game. I can’t wait for the action to pick up and hopefully it’s sooner then later, but you never know with these two.
