Dream Team Poker Will Make First Appearance at the WSOP

Dream Team Poker is a new concept which is still new to most poker players, but it has been gaining a lot of popularity amongst poker professionals. The company has just announced that they will be at the 2009 World Series of Poker offering another one of their unique tournaments. A Dream Team Poker tournament is special due to the fact you play with a team. Everyone is placed on a three man team or you can make your own team if you’d like and the goal is to beat all of the other teams.
Not only is the goal to beat the other teams in the event, but you also want to make sure you do good as well because you get paid for finishing high in the rankings as a team and single player. Poker is never looked at as a team sport, but this unique concept allows poker players to team up and have a good time battling other poker teams.
The tournament will take place at the Rio during the same week that the Main Event is being played at the Rio so there will be tons of poker players in attendance looking to play. The cost to enter the event is $560 if you’re alone and if you already have your three man team together then it will cost your team $1680 to enter.
During the last Dream Team Poker tournament there were 148 teams of players competing with many of the biggest names in poker competing such as Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan, Jamie Gold, David Williams and T.J. Cloutier. With all of the world’s best poker players in Vegas for this next event it should be even bigger then the last one.
