Jesper Hougaard Wins Second Career PokerStars Sunday Million

To start the tournament this week there were a total of 7177 poker players fighting for the prize pool of $1.5 million. The tournament took quite awhile to play out to reach the final table, but the players who managed to last out the large playing field were rewarded nicely. During the final table it didn’t take that long at all for the first player to be knocked out of the event as aakkari was knocked out.

After aakkari was knocked out from the final table first the next player to end the day was Poker Man as his A/3 lost to a flush from philipoo, afterwards Tuga_Ace was sent packing from the final table as well. The next player knocked out of the event was guideguy and then pokermon1960 was knocked out shortly thereafter. With only four players remaining in the event it was getting down to the end and the next player knocked out was bbs99. Once the table was down to the final three players they decided to make a deal which split the prize pool amongst the players leaving $30K for the winner.

Jesper who hadn’t knocked out anyone from the final table found himself with the chip lead going into the final three and he started picking it up. Jesper knocked out praetoriancz and then only two hands into heads-up action Jesper won the PokerStars Sunday Million by beating philipoo in an all-in affair.
