Poker Stars “Sunday Million” Tournament Results

PokerStars offers a $1 million guaranteed prize pool tournament every Sunday and this past weekend the tournament had a total of 6947 poker players competing for the first place prize. Every week someone new usually wins this tournament and often it’s just a casual poker player which makes the win that much more rewarding. You don’t usually get the chance to earn over $100K in a day with a minimal investment, but every week you can have the chance to do this.
This week’s tournament was all about the underdog coming through with the victory and the reason I say this is because the player who won the event started the final table in last place and very short stacked. It goes to show you that you should never give up, and like Doyle always says as long as you have a chip and chair you’re good to go.
NORCALonica is the name of the player who won the Sunday Million at PokerStars this past weekend. To start the final table NORCAL only had a bit over $3 million whereas the player in first had over $12 million. After a few hours the table was down to four players only and the four of them made a deal to split the prize pool. Poker Stars allows the prize pool to be split in this event, but there had to be $30K left for the winner. The four players each earned over 100K for their efforts in the tournament and in case you’re wondering here is how much each player on the final table earned in the tournament.
