Scotty Nguyen AKA “The Prince of Poker” Inks Deal with Expekt Poker

If you’ve been a fan of poker then you know exactly who Scotty Nguyen is and that he is one of the best poker players in the world. Scotty has been playing poker for decades now and has amassed over $10 million in career winnings which puts him near the top of the all-time poker earners list. With the economy so tough right now we haven’t seen many online poker rooms offering poker players sponsorship deals like we did a few years ago, but it was just announced that Scotty Nguyen inked a deal to become the ambassador of Expekt Poker.
Scotty Nguyen is very pleased with the opportunity that he has been given and can’t wait to begin working as the ambassador for Expekt. As part of the deal Scotty will be working on a video blog and a strategy section on Expekt to give players the inside knowledge they need to become great poker players. Nguyen will also be playing in more tournaments throughout 2009 then he had expected to play before the signing, but just like typical Scotty he said he can’t wait to have some fun baby.
Expekt has been growing in the online gambling world over the past few years and they have recently become the third best online poker room for cash games only trailing the two giants PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. Expekt is on the iPoker Network and the network has just passed Party Poker for the third biggest poker room on the internet. With so much exposure already the poker room is really looking to expand and become one of the most well known poker rooms in the world. The only downfall currently with Expekt is that they aren’t accepting US players, although this could change if Obama makes a change to the current law which is expected to happen.

I can’t wait to start watching Scotty’s video blog as it should be jam packed with great poker strategy and served up with Nguyen’s sense of humour which should make it more fun to watch.
