Bahador Ahmadi Takes Home Bracelet in $2.5K Mixed Holdem at 2009 WSOP

As the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event edges closer to beginning, event #47 was just completed a couple days ago. The 47th event at the 2009 WSOP was the $2.5K Mixed Holdem Event which saw 527 poker players hit the tables for the start of day one. There was a ton of talent in the playing field for this event as many were still working on their Holdem games for the Main Event.
The winner of the event was Bahador Ahmadi who managed to control the action for most of the final table. He played a very conservative poker game on the final table and didn’t let any of the excitement or pressure get to him. By the time the tournament was down to the final three players Bahador had already accumulated 75% of the chips in play. Once third place finisher Ylon Schwartz was knocked out of the event it only took Bahador one hand heads-up against John McGuiness to win the bracelet and the prize money.
As I mentioned earlier there were a lot of great poker players in this event, who were getting ready for the Main Event. Some of the players that just missed the final table in this event include Mimi Tran who finished in 13th place, Allen Cunningham who finished in 15th place, Andy Bloch who finished in 32nd place, Daniel Negreanu who finished in 37th place, Eli Elezra who finished in 46th place and finally Jeff Madsen who finished in 49th place.
