Jeff Lisandro Wins Second Bracelet at the 2009 WSOP

The field started with 164 players and it took three days for the tournament to finish. The final table had a ton of talent on it including one of the most popular poker players in the world Doyle Brunson. Doyle managed to finish in 7th place which is a great finish in this stacked tournament full of excellent stud poker players. It was too bad that Brunson wasn’t able to win the event though because it would have given him 11 bracelets and tied him with Hellmuth for the all-time lead.

The second place finisher Farzad Rouhani had the chip lead to start out the heads-up battle with Lisandro, but he didn’t hold onto it for very long. Lisandro slowly battled away at Farzad’s stack and soon enough he had the chip lead at which point he continued applying pressure to Farzad. Once Farzad had lost practically all of his chips he moved all-in several times where the pot was split. Eventually he ran out of luck and Jeff won the event and walked away with his second WSOP bracelet of the 2009 season.
