Marc Naalden Wins $2K Limit Holdem Event for First Ever WSOP Bracelet

Event #38 at this year’s WSOP was definitely very one sided for most of the event as the winner Marc Naalden lead the event from the second day. There were 446 players who bought into the event and there were some top finishes by some big name poker players in the event although none of them made the final table.
Marc Naalden specializes in Limit Holdem so it was definitely an event that he wanted to win and he showed that over the past few days. With seven players still on the final table Marc had over half the chips on the table and had crippled every single player. By the time the tournament went heads-up Marc had a nice chip lead, but he actually ended up losing the lead for a small amount of time before capturing the WSOP bracelet.
This is only the second time in WSOP history that a player from the Netherlands has won and the poker room was electric last night. The poker room was filled with Netherlands poker fans and they definitely weren’t shy about voicing their support for Marc. Most of the final table was filled with unknown players to most of the poker world, but there were several players who came close to making the final table.
A couple of the players who almost made the final table in this event are Phil Hellmuth who finished in 17th place and Daniel Negreanu who finished in 26th place. The players who did make the final table in the 38th event at the 2009 WSOP were as followed.
