Nick Schulman Wins First WSOP Bracelet in Young Career at the 22nd Event in the 2009 WSOP

Nick Shulman who is only twenty-four years old currently has already amassed more accomplishments and achievements in poker then most players will obtain in their entire career. One thing Nick was missing from his accomplishments though was a coveted WSOP bracelet. After the 22nd event at the 2009 WSOP all this changed for Nick though as he was able to win the $10K NL Deuce to Seven Draw World Championships.
There were only 96 players who entered the event this year as the poker game isn’t the most popular and the buy-in is fairly high, but all of the players who did join had a reasonable chance of winning which made it so fun to watch. Normally the small tournaments are excellent right from the start to the end and this was no different. Many excellent poker players made it deep into this event including John Juanda, David Benyamine, Roland de Wolfe and Steve Sung.
One of the biggest stories if not the biggest story of this event though was the fact that Ville Wahlbeck came in second place in this event which gives him fours cashes in four $10K events at this year’s WSOP including three final tables. Ville is now the leader for the player of the year on the WSOP circuit this year and it doesn’t appear that anyone is going to stop the player from Finland this year.
