PokerStars Guinness World Record Tournament

PokerStars has previously set-up a tournament where they set the world record for having the biggest online poker tournament. The first world record which was set by PokerStars was 35,000 players competing in one tournament. They are going to try and beat this record on Sunday July 19th so if you have a bit of money on your PokerStars account then you should definitely check out the tournament for tomorrow.
It’s not everyday that you’ll be able to be apart of an event that will be in the Guinness Book of World Records, but you now have the opportunity. If missed the first tournament then you don’t want to miss this one. It will only have a buy-in of $1 and there is going to be no fee charged by PokerStars for the tournament. There will also be a 100K guaranteed prize pool for the tournament which most likely means PokerStars will be adding money into the prize pool.
If you don’t have any money in your PokerStars account then you’ll still be able to play in satellite events using your frequent player points if you would like a chance at qualifying for the tournament. Action will begin tomorrow at 2:10PM EST so make sure you eat an early lunch and get ready to play a long day of poker. It’s definitely going to be an all night type of event so you’ll need to have your entire day clear if you plan on making a deep run.
It should also be noted that Full Tilt Poker is running their own Guinness World Record Tournament tomorrow as well. This is probably part of the reason why PokerStars is running another tournament. The last time I checked the Full Tilt tournament had a huge number of players so it should be interesting to see which poker room comes out on top tomorrow and we’ll be here to make sure we let you know.
