Adrien Allaine Wins APT Macau Title after a Very Impressive Day 3

As you guys already know there were several great players in the line-up for the APT Macau Final Table yesterday, but the winner ended up being a huge surprise. Not very many people, if any, would have guessed that Adrien Allaine would have won the APT Macau Championship. The reason why noone would have guessed that he would win the tournament is because noone has heard of the young Frenchman before.
Allaine earned his spot in the tournament by qualifying on the internet in a $5 satellite tournament. He took his $5 investment and has turned it into almost $400K after winning the title last night. Both of the proposed favourites going into action on day 3 would have been JC Tran and David Steicke although both of them finished just short by finishing 3rd and 4th place respectively. The chip leader going into day 3 was Inwook Choi who ended up finishing in second place as he just couldn’t stop the young Allaine from winning his first major event.
With 326 players starting the tournament only 3 days ago I’m sure most of the players on the final table were just glad they made it that far. The competition in Asia has grown every year and there were lots of excellent local poker talents that entered this tournament. I can’t wait to send you more news next time the poker pros and amateurs meet-up in Asia for another great tournament.
