Andy Bloch Comes Close in Stud Tournament at the Fifth FTOPS XIII Event

The fifth event was one of the best events yet and one of the Full Tilt Pros almost walked away with the championship. The event was a Stud Poker tournament and ended up having a total of 544 players compete in the event with several Full Tilt Team members competing in the event. David Oppenhiem was the host of the event although he wasn’t able to make it into the money.
Out of the 544 players that took part in the tournament 56 of them made money so as you can see a good percentage of the players cashed. The buy-in for the tournament was $200 + $16 which is about the average buy-in for the tournaments being offered in the FTOPS this month. The prize pool had a guarantee of $100K and it managed to slightly surpass that total by reaching $108,800 at the end of registration.
Stud Poker isn’t the most popular poker game so the turnout for the event was quite large and I can’t wait to see the size of some of the remaining tournaments. Several Full Tilt members managed to make the money in the event including Alan Boston who finished in 49th place and won $544.00 and Artie Cobb who finished in 17th place and won $816.00. Artie Cobb has been having a pretty good FTOPS so far and it should be interesting to see if he can manage to win any of the remaining events.
The best finished in the tournament by a Full Tilt Pro was Andy Block who finished in second place and only losing to the winner of the event Xsporean.
