Final Table Set As Day 2 Winds Down At the APT Macau Main Event

We took a look at both the Day 1 groupings already of the APT Macau Main Event and we’re now down to only nine players as day 2 has come to an end. Day 2 started with a total 88 players left in the tournament, but after playing 9 levels on day 2 there are only 9 players left to fight it out on day 3 for the title. There are some big names on the final table and it should be a very exciting day of poker.
Early chip leaders such as Stewart Scott and Jay Kinkade were both knocked out on day 2 action and several big names also followed. Johnny Chan was in the hunt for the final table on day 2, but he just couldn’t build up a stack and he ended up being eliminated. The other big name pro we talked about on day 1 was JC Tran and he actually ended up making the final table after having an awesome day 2. David Steicke who lead after day 1A is in second place and is also making a strong push for the title in the event.
JC Tran will start the final table in 4th place with 444K chips and he is basically one double up away from taking over first place. Tran would have an even bigger stack, but right before the action ended on day 2 Tran lost a big hand to Choi. Inwook Choi took over the chip lead with the big pot and has a pretty good lead going into the final table.
