Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) XIII

Today marks the first day of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XIII which is one of the most popular online poker events. Thousands of poker players will be competing in the 25+ events that are being offered by Full Tilt Poker and they will all be played throughout the month of August. There will be over $16 million available throughout the series in prize money to be won which makes this the largest FTOPS in history.
Most of the events have a large buy-in for the FTOPS, but there will also be a mini series which will have buy-ins for the casual poker player. The buy-ins for the regular series will range from $100 - $2500 and the buy-ins for the mini series will be exactly 10x smaller then the regular events. This means that everyone will have a chance to compete in the event which is always an enjoyable time.
This series is going to be featuring a host for each of the tournaments and many of them are very well known poker players and celebrities. Some of the players hosting tournaments in this FTOPS include Vitaly Lunkin, David Oppenhiem, Allen Cunningham, Mike Matusow, Roland de Wolfe, Erica Schoenberg and Chris Ferguson. Quite a few of the tournaments that will be played have guaranteed prize pools of over $1 million which means there is going to be lots of money being thrown around this month at Full Tilt.
The first event started tonight August 5th 2009 and the main event of the series will be held on August 16th. It’s going to be a jam packed 10 days of poker and you’re going to want to set some time aside to make sure you can compete in at least a couple of the events. Most of the events start at 21:00EST although there are quite a few other starting times including 14:00EST, 16:00EST and several other times.
