UgA7211 Wins Omaha Eights or Better Tournament at FTOPS XIII

The third tournament at FTOPS XIII was an Omaha Eights or Better tournament which had a great turnout. Often the Omaha Poker tournaments will have a smaller turnout then the Holdem tournaments by a far margin, but that wasn’t the case yesterday. The Omaha/8 tournament yesterday had a total of 1086 players which was just shy of the amount of the players that played in the 2nd FTOPS tournaments which was a NL Holdem tournament.
The host for the third tournament was Scott Clements, but he didn’t end up making the money in the event. There were several other Full Tilt Team members that made the money in the event though. Thomas Bihl finished the tournament in 72nd place, Christian Kruel finished the tournament in 77th place and Artie Cobb finished the tournament in 88th place. Only the top 108 players in the tournament made any money which is just shy of 10% of the playing field.
UgA7211 walked away with the title in the Omaha/8 tournament and won just about $30K on a $216 investment. The top ten players in the event include the following players including the amount of money they made. It should be noted that the top 5 players made a deal and that’s why the payouts are relatively close together. The payout for first place would have been a lot higher if there as no deal made, but the players all decided to accept a deal.
