Two Months / Two Million Show Update – Will They Make It?

When the Two Months – Two Million television show first aired we had posted about it here on the blog. Since then we haven’t been posting about the show that much because of all the live poker action going on in Asia and Europe. The show is now being aired on Wednesdays and last night you could have caught the show on the G4 Network Channel at 8PM EST.

The four players, Emil, Dani, Brian and Jay have a goal of making $2 million dollars in two months for those of you that don’t know. The show has been running for five weeks now which means they only have three weeks left and it doesn’t look like they will come close to the target. All of the players have been on downswings on the show and they haven’t been able to post up any steady profits for the entire time thus far.

During this past week Brian did the worst by far as he lost over $100K in some short sessions. He lost some large pots in a quick amount of time including one pot for $80K against Gus Hansen. It’s definitely a hard challenge to try and do what these players are doing though and they have already proven themselves in the past. It would have been great to see the four players earn the $2 million, but they’re basically sitting at even right now with only three weeks of poker left to go.

The only player that was able to post any profit during week 5 on the show was Jay and he only posted a very small amount of profit. In total the players lost $128K this week and that brought their total profit down to a mere $35.1K since the start of the challenge. They definitely won’t make the $2 million unless they go on a huge run and start hitting some $500K+ weeks and even then it will be close.
