Annette Obrestad Playing Poker in the United States

If you’re a poker player or a poker fan then there is no way that you haven’t heard of Annette Obrestad. She is the superstar young female poker player that has been taking both the live and online poker world by storm. Obrestad has posted some very impressive stats over her short career and the funniest thing is that most of her achievements have come online when she was underage.

Now that Annette has recently turned twenty-one she will be able to play poker in the United States. She has already played in Vegas this past week with certain people, but she hasn’t played in any major tournaments yet. I have no clue what tournament she is planning on playing first, but what I do know is that she will be doing an episode for the television show Poker After Dark.

Poker After Dark is a very popular poker television show that runs over the course of a week. Six players start each tournament with a $20K buy-in and the winner walks away with the entire $120K in prize money. I’m not to sure when they plan on airing the new episode with Annette, but she will be taping the episode this weekend.

The other five players that will be taking part in this episode include Phil Hellmuth, Phil Laak, Mike Matusow, Erick Lindgren and Antonio Esfandiari. It is sure to be a good episode and I can’t wait to see how Annette plays. I’m not sure why they decided to go with 5 guys against Annette as they could have probably gotten Jennifer Harman or someone to come on the show, but that doesn’t really matter.

Now that Obrestad can play wherever she wants in the world I’m sure we’re going to start seeing her a lot more in poker media. She already has a huge following and I’m sure this will only continue to grow as she gets more involved with the US poker world.
