FTOPS XIV Is Underway At Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker has been running the FTOPS now for a few years and they always try to improve upon the previous series. Starting yesterday, November 4th 2009, Full Tilt Poker kicked off FTOPS XIV with a bang. For this series there will be a total of twenty-five tournaments with a guaranteed prize pool of over $16 million. With so much money on the line there is going to be a lot of tough competition to beat.

All of the FTOPS XIV events will be hosted by one of the Full Tilt Team Members. Many pros will be in attendance for many of the events, so if you ever wanted to play with a pro now is your chance. The last FTOPS many pros were playing in tournaments that they didn’t even host which was good to see. Apart from the twenty-five tournaments in the FTOPS there will also be another twenty-five tournaments played in the Mini-FTOPS. All of the Mini-FTOPS tournaments will have a buy-in that is equal to exactly 10% of the main FTOPS tournaments.

Obviously winning money is the first thing on everyone’s mind in the FTOPS, but there are some other cool prizes to be won. If you make the final table of any of the FTOPS tournaments you’ll win a limited edition FTOPS Jacket. If you win an FTOPS event you’ll get the jacket plus a gold jersey and gold avatar to use on Full Tilt. There is also a leaderboard for the FTOPS and the winner will be rewarded with a huge prize. The winner of the leaderboard will earn free entry into all of the FTOPS VX tournaments except for the Main Event.

The FTOPS event is going to be running for most of November. The two events you want to look out for are at the end of the month. The FTOPS XIV Main Event will have a $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool and there will also be a two day tournament with a $2 million guaranteed prize pool. There will also be satellite events running the entire month so that you can earn inexpensive entry into many of the tournaments being held this series.
