Throughout this month PokerStars is running a PokerStars Passport Promotion where you could potentially win seats into the biggest live poker tournaments around the world. The way that PokerStars set-up the promotion allows any player to potentially win one of the six passports up for grabs.
During the month of December you need to play as much tournament poker as you possibly can. The top 2000 players on the December Tournament Leaderboard will have the chance to win one of the six passports. Finishing in the top 2000 of the monthly tournament leaderboard isn’t a simple task, but it’s definitely possible, especially if you manage to win a big event. Every tournament you play during the month of December will count towards the leaderboard. The tournaments to determine the winner of the passports will all be played on January 24th 2010.
Only the top 2000 players on the December tournament leaderboard will have a chance to play for the PokerStars Passports. The top 200 players on the leaderboard will play in a Main Event which will reward three players with passports. The remaining 1800 players will be split up into several groups with each group playing for one of the final passports. Apart from the passports there will be cash rewards handed out to the top players in these events, but obviously the passports are the main prize.
Each of the PokerStars Passports will have 1-5 stamps on them. Each stamp will allow you to play in one tournament and you get to choose the events you want to play in. You’re only allowed to choose events from the following poker tours.
