Adolfo Vaeza Leads the Way at the $25K PCA High Rollers Event

Over the past couple days the attention has moved from the PCA Main Event over to the PCA High Rollers Event. This year at the High Rollers Event the buy-in was $25K which would mean the playing field would be small. On the first day of play there were a total of 84 players that showed up to play in the event. Since the tournament had such a large buy-in most of the players that played in the event are recognizable pros.

On the first day of the event there were some huge eliminations. A couple of the players that got knocked out of the event on the first day include Justin Bonomo, Barry Greenstein, Jason Mercier and Ludovic Lacay. Both Dario Minieri and Lex Veldhuis were atop of the leaderboard after day one.

The second day of the PCA High Rollers Event was also full of adventure including many big names being knocked out. Some of the players that were eliminated include Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand Grospellier, Peter Eastgate, Chad Brown, Lex Veldhuis and Mike Matusow. Dario Minieri continued leading the way in the tournament, but as fate would have it he ended up getting knocked out on day 3 and won’t be playing on the final table.

Day 3 was a bit of a slow day as the players were trying to narrow the field down to the final table. Greg Raymer and Joe Cada ended up getting eliminated from the event on this day, but they both made the money. The top 16 players will end up making money in this tournament. The final table will be played out tomorrow, so make sure you tune in to see how it finishes up. First place will be rewarded with over $500K for his efforts.
