New Chip Leader Emerges After Day 2 at the 2010 PCA Main Event

Day two is now complete at the 2010 PCA Main Event and a new chip leader has emerged. As you guys already know the previous chip leader going into day 2 was Wayne Bentley, but at the end of the day it was Praz Bansi. Bentley is currently third in chips so although he isn’t the leader anymore he’s still looking great heading into day 3 of the event. Many of the pros ended up having sub-par days with many of them getting knocked out or sent to the bottom of the leaderboard.

The leaderboard after the second day is filled up with amateur and casual poker players although some pros are not that far behind. Some of the notables that are still in the tournament after day 2 include Phil Ivey, Justin Bonomo, Paul Wasicka, Ivan Demidov, Barry Shulman, Kathy Liebert, Victor Ramdin and Huck Seed. With so many pros still sitting in contentions for the final table I can’t wait to see how day 3 shapes up.

Just like in most tournaments there were also quite a few bad beats taking place on the felt. Barry Greenstein ended up being knocked out of the tournament with pocket aces against a 6/4 which was a shame to see. Even after taking such a bad beat Greenstein still signed his book for the player that knocked him out. Vanessa Rousso and Freddy Deeb were also both knocked out of the 2010 PCA Main Event on day 2.

We have just about reached the bubble in the tournament and soon everyone will be guaranteed to take home some money. With over $14 million in the prize pool there is no doubt that everyone wants to take home first place and I’m sure we’ll be treated to some good poker as the event continues to wind down.
