Poker Community Proves Again That We Care!

By now everybody has heard about the tragedy that has taken place in Haiti. The earthquake in Haiti has already claimed thousands of lives and left almost the entire country homeless. Whenever there is a natural disaster of this magnitude the entire world always jumps in to help relieve some of the stress. The poker community over the years has always proven that we’re a great group of people willing to help out anyone.

Since the earthquake there have been thousands of poker players that have helped donate to various funds which will go the recovery of Haiti. There is no doubt that the people of Haiti need all the help that they can get and I just wanted to make a quick post today letting you know how you can help support the people of Haiti. The easiest way to make a donation to is by sending a text message with the message “HAITI” to 90999.

If you send the text message there will be a $10 charge on your next phone bill, but the $10 will all be going to fund the relief of Haiti. $10 is nothing for a poker player so I hope you can reach out and lend some support to the people that need it. If you would prefer to donate through playing poker there have been several charity tournaments being played on PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker with the prize pool going to charities supporting Haiti.

There are millions of people in Haiti that need our help right now and the poker community is always good for stepping up when help is needed. Many of you might have family in Haiti and I hope that they’re all doing fine and that you’ve been able to communicate with them. If you’re a Twitter user you may have also noticed many of poker pros stepping up and making Tweets letting know how you can donate to Haiti.
