2010 NAPT High Rollers Bounty Shootout Final Table Set

I got to say that I love a good bounty poker tournament as it’s always more exciting then a regular event. When you have some of the best poker players in the world gather together to play a high rollers bounty shootout tournament then you know right from the get go that they’re going to be fireworks. There were only 49 players in the tournament this year, but due to the large buy-in there is still plenty of money up for grabs.

In this tournament $5K of the buy-in went towards the player’s bounty and then the rest of the money went into the prize pool. First place is going to win just shy of $500K tomorrow and maybe even more depending on how many bounties the player has. The players with the most bounties at the end of the final table will receive a $100K prize which is something you don’t see in most bounty tournaments. I think by adding an extra prize for the player with the most bounties is a good idea since it will entice more action.

Some of the poker players that didn’t end up making it into one of the final seven seats include Justin Bonomo, Chris Moneymaker, Phil Galfond, David Williams, Tony G, Joe Cada, Daniel Negreanu, Annie Duke, Phil Hellmuth, Barry Greenstein and Vanessa Rousso. There were plenty of other big name poker players in this event and having all these stars in the tournament was great to see at this NAPT event.

The final table is set for tomorrow and players will be battling it out for bounties and prize money. All of the players on the final table could still win the $100 prize for the most bounties depending on how the final table ends up playing out.
