Ashton Griffin Wins $560K at the 2010 NAPT Venetian High Rollers Event

We already talked about the 2010 NAPT Venetian High Rollers Event after the first day, but we never updated you on how the tournament ended up finishing. The seven players that made it to the final table earned their way by winning their own table on the first day of action. When the final table started each of the players were given 150K chips so that none of them had an advantage over anyone else.

As you already know if you read the first post, the players receive $5K for knocking out an opponent and $100K to the player with the most bounties. The players were also fighting for the prize pool which can often be forgotten about while playing in a bounty shootout tournament. Scott Seiver was the leader in money earned going into the final table and most people thought that he would win the final table when it was all said and done.

Scott didn’t end up winning the tournament, but he did win the $100K for having the most bounties at eight of them. He walked away with $215K which was the second most anyone walked away with and he finished the event in fourth place. Ashton Griffin knocked out six players on his way to winning first place in the event. He didn’t sweep the prizes as he didn’t have more bounties then Seiver, but he managed to outlast everyone and won the first place prize.

Peter Eastgate was also on the final table, but he ended up getting eliminated first and only won $85K which was a disappointment I’m sure for him. The seven players ended up finishing as followed beginning with first place winner Ashton Griffin.
