Allan Baekke Earns Victory in the Main Event at the 2010 EPT Snowfest

It’s been a long week of poker at the 2010 European Poker Tour Snowfest Main Event, but the festivities have finally come to an end after a very long final table. It didn’t take that long to get down to three players, but once it got down to the final three the event began stretching out into a marathon. The final three players took several hours before Allan Baekke ended up finishing off the two other players and walking away with the EPT title plus the prize money.

Russell Carson is the player that finished in second place and he gave Allan a good run for his money. During the heads-up battle Allan started out with a nice chip lead, but after a little while Russell was able to tie the match up. If you don’t already know Allan is an online professional poker players that has built a solid rep as being a feared heads-up poker players. Once the match was tied Allan started to take over again and finished the heads-up battle after about two hours.

There was definitely a lot of great action over this week, but the action didn’t stop at the poker tables. Over the course of the week players were treated to a great time in the snow if they wanted too. I’m not sure how many of the players hit the slopes, but they were open to anyone interested throughout the week. With most of the players already gone home now all of the action has wrapped up here at the 2010 EPT Snowfest Main Event.
