Allan Baekke Owns A Massive Chip Lead Heading Into Day 4 of the EPT Snowfest Main Event

On day 2 of the 2010 EPT Snowfest Main Event there were 259 players left out of the 546 players that started the event. There were still plenty of great players left in the event, but a lot of them were knocked out on the second day. Players such as Luca Pagano, Daniel Negreanu, Arnaud Mattern and Florian Langmann were among those that were eliminated on day 2. I’m sure it was pretty disappointing for all of these players since none of them made the money.

Johannes Strassmann who happens to be a Team PokerStars Pro was leading the way at the end of the second day of poker. Richard Toth was right behind the chip leader and had a really good day of poker. Both of these PokerStars Pros played well on day 2 and were setting themselves up nicely to make a push for the money on day 3. Only 86 players were back in the poker room today for day 3 and they played until they were down to just 24 players. Most of the players today made the money, but the unlucky 6 six players that were knocked out first today didn’t get anything.

Allan Baekke is sitting with a commanding chip lead right now going into day 4, but it’s definitely not big enough to walk onto the final table. He will still need to do some work if he wants a seat on the final table tomorrow as there are a few players that could cripple his stack in a big hand. Max Lykov and Johannes Strassmann are both in striking distance and could take over the lead with one big hand against Allan. There aren’t really any recognizable names left in the playing field, but I’m sure the rest of the tournament will shape up nicely with a few nice surprises.
