Party Poker Big Game IV Suffers Without Isildur1

We had reported earlier that Isildur1 would be making an appearance at the Party Poker Big Game IV in London, but sadly this wasn’t the case. At the last minute he needed to drop out of the event for “personal reasons” and it has left more then a few people a little disappointed. Everyone was hoping that the mystery behind the Swedish poker player would be resolved this past weekend, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Tony G has mentioned that he is done with Isildur1 and won’t be trying to stake him or help him anymore in the future. Tony G went out on the line working out the deal to bring Isildur1 to the Big Game, but then it all fell apart and left Tony G feeling annoyed and disappointed in the result. There is word that we will find out who Isildur1 is sooner or later, but for now we’re going to leave his name out of our posts until we’ve actually seen him.

David Viffer ended up being the big winner from the 48-hour cash game and he actually managed to play the entire time. He won over 147K Euros during the two-day game and this was largely in part to his aggressive play throughout the entire game. A lot of people figured he was bluffing, but when he needed the big hands he always seemed to get them. Neil Channing was the only other player in the Big Game IV that managed to play the entire 48-hour session.

In order to stay in the event you needed to remain active and this helped push the action at the table throughout the entire game since nobody wanted to be kicked off the table for inactivity. There was plenty of trash talk being thrown around the table amongst the players and overall it was very entertaining. The Party Poker Big Game IV will air on television in most countries over 2010 so I don’t’ want to give any to much of the information and spoil the entire game.
