2010 World Series of Poker Event 13 – Event 25 Update
June 16, 2010
It has been about a week now since our last update of the 2010 World Series of Poker. We last left you with an update on how the first twelve tournaments went and now we’re going to provide you with the winners of events 13 through event 25. I promise we’ll be here to provide daily updates of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event once it starts.
There have been a couple big events this past week including two $10K buy-in events and the Ladies NL Holdem Championship, which I’m sure some of you want to hear about. As expected the amount of players in Las Vegas has been increasing over the week as we lead up to the Main Event. Not everyone is able to take a month off work and that’s why we usually see larger numbers of players showing up half way through the month of June.
We’re going to quickly go through the winners of events 13-25 right now and I’m sure you’ll recognize a few of the winners.
Event #13 - $1K NL Holdem – Steven Gee $472,479
Event #14 - $1.5K 2-7 Draw Lowball – Yan Chen $92,817
Event #15 - $10K Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo Split Championship – Frank Kassela $447,446

Event #17 - $5K NL Holdem – Jason DeWitt $818,959
Event #18 - $2K Limit Holdem – Eric Buchman $203,607
Event #19 - $10K 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship – David Baker $294,314
Event #20 - $1.5K Pot Limit Omaha – John Barch $256,919
Event #21 - $1.5K Seven Card Stud – Richard Ashby $140,467
Event #22 - $1K Ladies NL Holdem Championship – Vanessa Hellebuyck $192,132
Event #23 - $2.5K Limit Holdem Six Handed – Dutch Boyd $234,065
Event #25 - $10K Omaha Hi/Lo Split Championship – Sam Farha $488,237
Event #24 is currently still being played out and we don’t have a winner to list yet, but we’ll update you in our next update with the winner of the event. The most noticeable name in the group today is easily Sam Farha, but it’s also good to see Carter Phillips, Eric Buchman and Dutch Boyd walk away with a bracelet in Vegas.
