Summary
Paradise Poker, along with many of the other big names in internet poker, stopped allowing US players towards the end of 2006 to comply with the Safe Port Act. This caused a large majority of the players who used to frequent the sit to leave, and now traffic is pretty low. All the same, there are a good range of games at Paradise, if you can find a table with players, and then there is the fabled free-roll tourney with a million dollar prize.

Software
In terms of graphics, Paradise recently underwent a total makeover. Where before the graphics were subpar, now they are up to snuff with most of the other online poker rooms. Functionally, the software allows you to see the average pot size in cash games, as well as the flop percentage. There are no extremely glaring bug-problems and the games run smoothly. Paradise Poker uses the latest in SSL encryption to make sure that your online play is kept secure, and they have a dedicated collusion prevention steam.

Bonus
Paradise's sign-up bonus is a flat rate of $100 dollars for the first deposit of over $1. To earn this back you have to play in 20 raked games where the pot values over a quarter. For every 20 games you play like this you get back $1 of your bonus. The time limit to earn all of your bonus back is 180 days.

Loyalty program
For their loyal players, Paradise Poker has the Frequent Play Club. By becoming a member of the FPC, you are able to earn Frequent Player Points. These FPPs can be used to enter into free-roll tourneys and to purchase merchandise. The basic scheme is that for every quarter that Paradise rakes in a cash game, every player who contributed to the pot gets a point.

Pros/Cons
- Low player base
- Does not accept US players
- Some good free-rolls
- Recently redone software holds promise

Limits and Rake
Limits at Paradise Poker range from .02-.04 up to 500-1000, though at the upper levels there is low traffic. Most players play at around a $1-$2 level. The rake at Paradise is competitive with other online poker rooms. There's a $3 maximum at the highest limits, and if you are looking for a rakeless game you can play at the lowest limit tables. Of course, you won't earn any FPPs this way.

Support
Paradise covers all their bases by having email, telephone, and live chat customer support. Emails are usually answered with a day or so, and the chat feature is quite nice and usable. Besides these three options there is a FAQ that has answers to the usual questions.
