Summary:
He grew up as an all star athlete, but after graduating high school and going on to college, Erick Lindgren soon found that poker was his true calling. Lindgren started playing poker at an Indian casino in California, where he also worked as a blackjack dealer.
Discovering a proficiency in the game, Lindgren dropped out to pursue a full time poker career soon afterwards. He began concentrating on the poker side of his career in earnest as a propositional player in California, and starting making the big money with a series of high profile wins starting in 2002. During this streak, he took a title at the Bellagio and followed up with a World Poker Championship ten months later. He also won the million dollar prize at the Party Poker Millions III tourney in 2004. He outlasted the field, including stars like Phi Ivey and Chris Ferguson, at the 2006 Full Tilt Poker showdown. Erick Lindgren has also written a book entitled "World Poker Tour: Making the Final Table", which discusses poker strategy at tournaments.
